As a newly incorporated association, the Digital Fabrication Alliance, is enabled by a multimodal leadership structure. The Board of Directors ( see Board ) sets the vision at an international level, guides the practices of the organization and defines the methods. While the Founding Associates represent the regional expression of the DFA, organizing competitions, conferences and workshops that target the needs of a particular region.
Phillip Anzalone, is the Director of the Laboratory for Applied Building Science at the Graduate School of Architecture, Columbia University and a Principal of the architecture firm Atelier Architecture 64.
Dr. Mark Cabrinha, is an Assistant Professor at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He teaches in the third year design curriculum, along with courses on architecture practice, digital fabrication, and digital media theory.
Jason K. Johnson, is a founding Design Principal at Future Cities Lab in San Francisco. He is an Assistant Professor at the California College of the Arts and is Chairing the 2012 ACADIA International Conference.
Kevin McClellan, is an artist/designer who teaches digital design and fabrication at the University of Texas San Antonio. Additionally, he founded and directs Architecturebureau and co-directs TEX-FAB.
Wes McGee, is the Director of the FABLab at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, where he teaches design and fabrication seminars, and a Principal at Matter Design Studio.

Andrew Vrana, is a Principal at Metalab in Houston, specializing in Architecture, Civic Art and Product Design. He teaches digital fabrication at University of Houston and is a Co-Director in TEX-FAB.
